Elizabeth Oliver MBACP (Accredited)
I am an experienced, BACP registered and accredited counsellor. Alongside my independent practice ‘Clear Space’ in Tonbridge, I have worked for several years in counselling organisations and educational institutions.
I have worked extensively with adults affected by issues including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, identity issues and loss among others, offering both open-ended and brief-focused counselling, including counselling for Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs).
I have also worked with children and young people, having gained training and experience in school based counselling with national organisation Place2Be, worked for London-and-Kent-based organisation ‘Fegans’, and within a university counselling service in London.
Before training as a therapist, I worked for a number of years in communications and editorial roles. I have a degree in English, and an interest in the role of story-making in people’s lives as well as in the therapeutic power of language, image and metaphor.
As an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) I am bound by their requirements for continuing professional development and their code of ethics and good practice. BACP Register Number: 049442
